Not such an easy task on the old iMacs, I still have the scars to prove it :) Is the HD actually munched? Sounds like you just want to install tigger and don't have a DVD drive. Which case, a borrowed external DVD drive would allow you to do so. In OS 9 there is also the dance?for which I have forgotten the particulars?using an ethernet crossover cable.
