I did just that recently with my new powerbook to add that capacity :
I went to system preferences , clicked under sharing,  enabled the file 
sharing and the printer sharing, left the firewall on, then went  to  
the desktop clicked on go and clicked on network , then it should show 
you the other computer ( needs to be open) in the network, click on 
that and then a window will appear asking you for your name and 
password  and put it in, then it gives the options to click on the HD, 
or your home folder or your iDisk. if you have one. If you click on the 
home folder,   it it will come on you second computer showing the same 
screen as on your first and you can access all your files.
