Mike- This way definitely was the most work. I, personally wouldn't recommend it, unless you really want to purge the old and start really fresh. All my downloaded (no install disk laying around) programs have to be reinstalled, either by downloading a new copy, or transfering it from the backed up copy. And then I have this worry of messing up my library setting by transferring over something that doesn't agree with the new system. I did it because I didn't want the 'previous system' folder sitting in the background taking up space. I have since learned that it is not really a hog of space and can eventually be tossed out.
