IIRC, I believe that you have to import the mail "twice" to get it to  
work (the first time of copying the files to the right place lets  
Mail know the folders are there, but you still have to tell Mail  
again that the messages are there as well.

The import mailboxes command is one of the File menu choices.

p.s. Keychain items can also be imported in a similar fashion.
