This question about sorting files in Finder windows brings up another one:
Is there a setting somewhere that would tell the system to make List view the default view -- regardless of how folders are currently set? Under Finder's preferences, there is a checkbox to "Open new windows in column view," but that only applies to newly created windows, not existing folders, and I'd rather default to list view than column view.
