Epson, HP, UMAX, Microtek, etc. all make OS-X compatible scanners, the
question I would have to ask is what do you consider reasonably priced?
Try hitting versiontracker.com and looking for a shareware program
called VueScan. Its goal in life seems to be allowing you to use older
unsupported (and newer) scanners to work in OS-X. if it works for you,
it would be the least expensive route.
