Hi gang, I'm in need of some advice. We just purchased 5 new G4s. I'm wanting to make separate partitions for OS 9 and OS X. I've tried reformatting the drive and on my initial attempt the machine appeared to lock up (that was yesterday afternoon, I thought maybe it was just taking a while, but I came in this morning and it was still sitting there. So I rebooted and tried again and was able to get my partitions. I then proceeded to attempt to install OS X. I received an error message that the installation failed. When I tried again, the partition I was attempting to install on didn't mount. At this point I'm thinking maybe I need to install OS 9 first so I'm going to try that, but can someone tell me the recommended steps for doing this? I had some info from Apple's site, but it was pre-Jaguar.
Thanks! Beth The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will be November 26 For more information, see <http://www.aye.net/~lcs>. A calendar of activities is at <http://www.calsnet.net/macusers>.
