If you're worried about your saved e-mails, you could save them as text
files. Then they won't be Netscape dependent. You would be able to open
and read them with any word processor, or even SimpleText. However, it
would be a hell of an undertaking since you'ld have to establish a
folder hierarchy, name each file, and store it in its proper location.
Anyway, I saved the e-mail you wrote as a file, and here's what it looks
like. Good luck if you decide to go this route.

Hi,
I am running OS 9.1 on a 9600 . I am using Netscape
Communicator 4.61 very happily--except that lately my
banking site and my brokerage site do not work. I'm sure it
is because my browser is now too old for whatever latest
bells and whistles they have added.
I know I should upgrade the browser but I'm scared. I hate
doing that. I have email saved for years and I don't want to
upgrade or change to something I can't continue to use those
email files in.
What would you guys recommend I do?
I know I need a more current solution. But I need one I can
use the saved stuff with. I prefer a browser with email but
that's probably just because I'm used to it.
(I use IE and Outlook on a windoze laptop for work and I
don't like it as well--although it will open the sites
netscape won't.)
Thanks for any advice/opinions.
Ann Richmond
