I am really glad to hear that Apple was so responsive to your issues. I am shopping for a powerbook/iBook/Macbook (haven't decided new or used yet) for my daughter who is going off to college in the fall. I have a friend whose 12"iBook has had a logic board replacement every 6 months (after the first year and a half) --it got number 5 two months ago. The first 3 were under the Applecare warranty and Apple has been good enough to do the other replacements free. But I would think someone might have said that unit should have been exchanged. He asked the last time, but they declined. Guess the tech guy he got on the phone wasn't having a good day. That just worried me a little. Glad your experience was so good!
