This may be an AppleWorks/printer question, but I dread trying to get anything from those people. On the other hand, I know Macgroup to be user-friendly and helpful, so you?re my go-to guys on this one.
I?m running a 1 Ghz Power PC G4 with OS 10.4.6 (the CPU looks like half a basketball; maybe the one referred to as the ?lampshade? Mac?) I have two versions of AppleWorks on it -- 6.2.9 and 6.0.4 (the last one with macros, running under Classic). I have two printers: an hp Deskjet 5150 and an Epson Stylus Photo R220. Whenever I try to print an old document created in AW 6.0.4, even if it?s been altered in AW 6.2.9, I get nada from either printer. The hp prints the last page and quits. The Epson won?t go at all. I?ve downloaded and installed the latest drivers for both. Oddly enough, when I create a new document in AW 6.0.4, it will print on the hp, although verrrry slowly. Somone may tell me to dump Classic and AW 6.0.4 -- but I REALLY need macros at certain times. Also my old graphics app, Color It!, which I love, runs under Classic. Maybe I need to look for an old OS 9 driver for one or both printers? If so, how will I or the computer or the printer know which driver to use? Any advice much appreciated.
