I finally installed my new epson photo R220. Printed a few things with no problem.
Then for no reason, the computer sounded like it was going to print, but the sound stopped and nothing happened, except the little printer icon in the dock had an exclamation mark. I opened the window and clicked "Start job". Got message "Opening printer connection". Then got the message "jobs stopped". Every time I'd click "start job", I'd get "opening printer connection" and then "jobs stopped", but nothing ever printed. I deleted the job(s), but the exclamation mark never went away. When I went back to my photo to try to print again, I got message "Printing of jobs for this printer is stopped. Do you want to continue and restart the printing of jobs?" And no matter what I click, whether it's "Continue" or "Cancel" or "Add to queue", nothing happens. I tried different ports and different USB cables. Ran printer check with no problem, so that tells me that the computer is at least communicating with the printer, but it just won't print!! I turned everything off for a few minutes and tried again, and am still having the same problems. This was beginning to happen frequently with my HP1350, and I thought it was a printer problem, but now it's happening with the new epson R220. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Should I reinstall the epson? I have spent three hours trying to print a single 4x6, and am at my wits end. Thanks.
