Ric, I?m probably not the first to tell you, but your column that ran today had a basic error in it. There is no subscription to iTunes, and you don?t have to buy anything to use it to rip CDs or otherwise load podcasts and mp3s from your PC or Mac onto an iPod or iPhone. This is a significant point, and I hope you print a correction next week.
More significant to me, however, you seem to have a negative attitude toward Apple and its products that has crept into your columns over the past few years. You either ignore developments that pertain to Apple or you give negative or wrong information out. Objective issues and limitations are fair game, of course, and I appreciate that Macs as such are only about 5 or 6% of the market; however, you might take a look at who is the leader in innovation, who is in that market and the fact that the gizmo market goes beyond laptops and desktops. Maybe I am wrong, but I perceive a predilection toward the negative. ?Not a nano?? Indeed, not an iPod at all! Robert
