Jerry,
you ARE wonderful, but no matter how much we like to be pure --
today everything is a big mish-mash , weatherman do not report, they
make the weather, announcers are nowadays stars and need to have
pleasant, beautiful and truth-inspiring faces and a truly awe-
inspiring hair cut, truth and opinions are cooked up like quick
oats into an easily swallowable pablum concoction that does not
upset the stomach, and we, we, we are the weenies , all of us who
used to be called normal in times past, because normal means to be a
small sausage in so many of life's menus .
Weenie is my word of the day, on top of the one that comes to me by
email. I feel like producing some poetic outpour on "Weenies'
lament" or the like, so that the word can be included in the new
Oxford dictionary.

And in order this email have some sort of technical connect, my f-
keys on my iBook have different functions than those on my iMac -and
I shall try to find out which were set by Apple and which were
manipulated by me. While in the age of forgetfulness ( no, I have
not been given by the gods the beaker filled with the drink of Lethe,
my forgetfulness is age dependent,) ---However, I may , with some
deep concentration, be able to talk intelligently about the f-keys ,
perhaps even write a treatise on " the ever puzzling f-key dilemma"
Marta
