I used Spin Doctor (part of Roxio's Toast software) for some of this,  
it has some noise reduction software built in. You can't just plug  
the turntable directly into the Mac, however. You must go thru a  
receiver or special converter. I'll see if I can find more info on  
this tomorrow...
