Bill, when you partition the drive you must make sure you set the  
partitions to the correct formatting scheme: GUID Partition Table for  
MacIntels and Apple Partition Map for Power PC Macs. MacIntels will  
not boot with APM and Power PC Macs will not boot wuth GUID  
partitions. That sounds like what you are running into. When you go  
to set up the partitions, click "Options..." on each one and set the  
partition scheme before you execute the partition.
