Both are APM.
Also, make sure you update that system to the latest version. Some older versions of Tiger will not boot some Macs. I'm not exactly sure which (except for Intels, of course), but that may also be a possibility for you.
They're all up-to-date.
You can always create more partitions for more machines to boot from; GUID for the Intel partitions and APM for PPC. Go crazy.
That'll be for another time... I'm just gonna get these two systems working on my laptop, for now! ;<)
