After running TechTool over an iMac it found one bad sector on the
hard drive.  In the past it would "sequester" that sector so it
wouldn't be used, however in this case I got wording similar to this
(don't have it exact).

It said that I had a bad sector and the only way to repair would be to
"zero out" the hard drive and reinstall the operating system.  Why it
would not sequester I don't know, but what is "zero out".  Would that
be using the utility portion of the install disk to "erase" the hard
drive or it is much more involved?
