It said that I had a bad sector and the only way to repair would be to "zero out" the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. Why it would not sequester I don't know, but what is "zero out". Would that be using the utility portion of the install disk to "erase" the hard drive or it is much more involved? Many thanks for your help.
