I downloaded Superduper 2.something which I think is the one for os 10.3.9. (Their site only refers to the animal names which I have never got straight.) I have tried running it several times and it fails. The firewire drive I am sending it to is fat32. Is that going to be a problem? I have it formatted that way since it is usb/firewire and I can also back up my pc with vmware disk image. Wonder if that is why dmg creation fails? And can I boot from fat32 drive?
SuperDuper does cannot have full support for writing to FAT32 drives because FAT32 does not have the capability to store Mac file metadata. You can store SuperDuper disk images on FAT32 drives.
