Jerry, I had already done that, but I finally discovered that you can
enlarge or make smaller the print by selecting "all" and then use the
command key and = or - to make larger or smaller. This helps. Before
I always had set it in the fonts menu. I seemingly could not enlarge
by just using the key pad, but as a dunce I had not done the 'select
all' stroke. Thanks for replying. I did manage the "insert picture"
bit, but keep wondering whether the size of the picture can be
manipulated, and the "inspector" needs inspecting. It is still half
of a puzzlement. I guess i'll get there eventually.

I like Textedit to do my letters etc. I actually do prefer it to
Bean and and I never did anything with Pages, since it simply is
too much for my small needs.
I do dislike, though, that it always tells you at the top the name
of the file ( you don't need that on a letter) and it prints the
date whenever you make a copy, although the letter or file had
been written much earlier and it gives you the page numbers, being
good sometimes, but when you have just one page, it then prints 2
although there is no second page. This annoys me. I can remedy
that by changing the print dialog box from all to from 1 to 1, but
that should be unnecessary
Any advice or maybe a different application. Bean is great , but
you can't change fonts and font sizes right from the page, you
have to bring up the font menu and some.
I need an easy does it. Since Apple works isn't in the works
anymore, I haven't been very satisfied with what I had access to.
