bean does not support vector shapes. textedit and Pages both support vector shapes...ie the ability to resize a placed image.

i don't use text edit and no longer own a printer to verify this, but from memory, in the print dialog box, click the disclosure carrot, and uncheck print header and footer. best...jf

I did manage the "insert picture" bit, but keep wondering whether the size of the picture can be manipulated, and the "inspector" needs inspecting. It is still half of a puzzlement.
