Ann,

I don't know about flat screen, but on the older CRT T.V.'s I almost
ruined a great set with on of those pointers. I have no idea what it
was doing to the set but I was using it to point out things and after
a few times the picture began to flicker, jump and distort. I
realized that the laser was doing it and I immediately stopped. It
took some time for it to "heal" but finally it did. If this would do
the same to a flat screen I have no idea.
