These type of Video camera's are the worst type of camera to deal with.
Your only option would be to connect cables to your Mac with a capture card to
get the video off the DVD. This type of camera was never designed to do any
editing to the video. It was designed for the I just want to watch junior
crowd. The problem generally occurs after the purchase we you find out that you
have to do all kinds of jumps thru hoops to do anything with the video.

Bad Bad video camera.

Subject: [MacGroup] copying mini dvds

My son has a video camera that records video to mini dvds. I know you
can't put them in to slot dvd players like the one on my MacBook pro.
Fortunately, I have another computer (a pc) at home with a drawer type
dvd player/recorder. If I didn't have the pc how could I make copies of
the mini dvd?

My son lives in Alabama and he didn't bring any cables with him.

I don't even know if it's possible to download the video from his camera
which is 3+ years old.

TIA.

Harry
