Thanks for your info, Lee. I, too, have difficulty with the keyboard,
since I have hardly any feeling in my fingers. So I mostly answer
email on my computer, although, here, too , I have difficulties.
But did you see this new iPhone probably showing on the Macworld
exhibit that Ed Wiser sent to the Group? A keyboard on the cover of
the iPhone. You open it like a book. It would take care of using or
needing a case to put the thing into also. I hope it goes. I would get
one.

But Lee, after making this rash statement about my life line, I do
need you to tell me WHY you do not want an iPhone. There needs to
be a deeper reason than just being contrary like little Mary?
I have several reasons:
(1) We drive up to visit my mother several times per year in the
upper peninsula of Michigan. Once you get north of Green Bay, the
AT&T coverage becomes pretty spotty. The Verizon coverage up there
is actually pretty good, where we go.
(2) I have an iTouch, so I've had plenty of practice typing on the
iPhone keyboard. I hate it! When I send emails off the iTouch,
they're rarely more than a couple of words because editing is such a
pain. My fingers aren't the right size for the device and there's no
cut and paste while editing to speed things up.
(3) We have a 4-phone contract. AT&T seems to cost more.
(4) A data plan with no tethering is just plain cruel.
(5) I drop and lose phones, so I tend to get more disposable models.
