Harry,

  Though I live downtown in Butchertown, I will drive all the way out  
to Pack 'n' Ship on Hikes Lane (in an older strip mall) just around  
the corner from Bardstown Road. I believe they're a UPS facility, but  
I think they sometimes also use the Post Office. They have always been  
extremely good at packing and shipping... it's worth the try, at  
least. I never am sure whether a place is still under the older  
ownership. You could call to check that. Good luck!
