Harry, I use the UPS store in La Grange. Convenient to my home; they are very friendly and capable. I would like to think that other such places are the same but I guess not. If you describe what you have to ship, I'm sure the people in La Grange would see that it was packed the best possible way. Be aware shipping is not cheap.
One last point. If I'm shipping something that I'm not sure the shipping people understand, I package it myself such that there are no moving parts that can get loose in the package and break other parts. I also use lots of bubble wrap. Then I tell them it is delicate and they treat it as such. I also insure it. They track the stuff and give you a number so you can track it yourself.
