This is awesome info., I didn't know products like this existed and it may be a solution to some of my needs. I do have a question that you may or may not have encountered. I have a 440 amp service in the home, (two 220 amp boxes) so do you know if the plug and play would encounter a problem if one end of the plug was drawing power from one of the 220 boxes and the other end was wired to the other 220 box?
My experience has been that it works between any two connections to the same breaker box, but works much better if both ends are on the same circuit; i.e., share the same breaker. I used it for a while to get a drop into my wife's upstairs office, but finally broke down and arduously snaked in Cat6 because it wasn't quite fast enough for MythTV +MPEG2 and file transfers at the same time. (It was faster than wireless G.)
