There are so many things that I prefer in Tiger, that I have not upgraded two of my computers. Now, I ask this: What has gotten better ( easier , simpler) in Snow leopard. Maybe I shall consider that upgrade. I always felt that more was less in Leopard. Maybe Snow Leopard has more common sense? Let me know how you feel about that.
I guess the iPad will automatically come with the snow.

Bill, i should have mentioned that I use Leopard, and there i cannot find this track pad do-dat at all. My iBook with Tiger in it, has this option and I have it turned off for as long as I can remember, but I cannot do anything in my MBp with version 10.5.8 running. In trackpad it shows the way to do it,a little video, and an option for zooming. that is all i can find.

Marta,

Bad news.

From Apple's site:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3608

Bottom line; that setting was removed in 10.5.6 (Leopard) and brought back again in 10.6 (Snow Leopard). That means if you are using 10.5.6, 10.5.7, or 10.5.8 the setting has gone away. You're not crazy, Marta (well, maybe a little), because you can't find that setting. No one could find it because it isn't there.

Sorry,

J.
