There might still be directory damage. I'd still run Disk Utility and verify the directory.


Caution, though, in assuming that [Verify] and [Repair] resulting
in an end-message that "no problems found" is not the same.
I don't know the details of the difference between the two, but
the result is definitely different.

I've run both options to find that a "no problems found" [Verify]
did not allow a remount of the problem volume, but running a
[Repair] that showed a result of  "no problems found"  did allow
the problem volume to remount.
