A reset ought to do it. In the manual setup mode of the software there's a menu 
item Base Station>Restore Default Settings... There's also a reset button.

I've had an Airport Extreme 802.11N for quite a while now and have been very 
satisfied with it--no problems at all. Like you, I finally got tired of messing 
around with the Belkin/Netgear/Linksys cheap stuff and decided to get something 
a little better. I was originally going to get a Buffalo for around $150, but I 
got the AE off eBay for quite a bit less.

I've got a Seagate USB drive plugged into the AE, and we are doing Time Capsule 
backups of three laptops to it.
