Antenna gate has never been a big issue more of a competition play. As you see by your reaction to the gate issue. There is no good time to buy tech stuff. Generally Apple has released new iPhones in the spring. The Verzion iPhone will be a new release While it may be announced in January just like the original iPhone Apple will still have to wait to have it for sale as the FCC will have to see it. An therefore would be preannounced and spoil the event so I would say March to April before it could be sold. Metal back design is based on Apple buying a liquid metal company an we don't even know what that was for yet so everyone feel's iPhone tech as That is what everyone is thinking about now. I would not buy a 3g model way too slow. I would buy an enjoy really life is way too short. :)
