I can't say for sure but of late the 50 meg. download has some issues. Each
time you use Speedtest.net indeed you are getting the 50 but when you go to a
site you sit there and wait and wait, then it loads. I don't know if Insight
is having to choke it down to accommodate some sites or if there is some other
issue, I will call Monday but it is ridiculous the latency, even with email.
Now the Google Finance site loads in an instant, I just loaded the Lexus site
and it was instant, Ford was instant, GM instant, Progressive instant, Geico
instant, Amazon waited for many seconds, Canon a small delay, Dodge a slight
delay. Some of these are there as soon as you let off the key, others have a
slight hesitancy and some take forever.

I guess what I am discovering tonight is it depends on where you go. Walgreens
instant, CVC a very slight delay, John Deere a slight pause. So, I guess there
is really nothing wrong but it gets ridiculous how many times you have to wait
and wait and wait, such as Yahoo's Financial site. CNBC was just now instant,
Bloomberg instant. Sorry to ramble on but I am testing this and at least
letting you know that sometimes you may find considerable delay. My son was
here tonight using one of the computers and he finally gave up and went home
due to the spinning ball with so many sites. I guess when we have our service
providers upgrade to the new Cisco Router then our download speeds will equal
whatever we buy from our provider.

Cisco has announced a new router, CRS-3 which has the capability to transfer
huge amount of data at huge speeds of 322 terabits per second; equivalent to
the ability to download 4 Billion MP3 files in about a minute or download every
movie ever made in just 4 minutes or to allow the entire population of China to
make video calls at the same time.

Such a super fast router is definitely not meant for home use, it’s over a
million times faster than your cable modem at home. It’s meant to be used by
Internet service or network providers such as AT&T.
