I ran system profiler as you suggested. I have two classic apps a bunch of 
intel apps , several PowerPC apps, but most of mine are labeled Universal.

Then there is the 64-bit intel. Many of my Universal apps say no to 64-bit 
intel. A few of my intel apps say no to 64-bit (intel)

I assume the classic apps and the powerPc apps will not run in lion. 

Does no or yes 64-bit intel make a difference?
