Since last Summer I have worked diligently to get the Louisville Computer
Society to be a vibrant and useful group. I knew and was told more than once
that it would not be an easy task. It is quite apparent that private web
sites, social networking & corporate help sites provide most of the help and
information that user groups had provided in in the past. I am saddened by this
loss of the human contact and personal interaction that is a result of those
factors.

As much as want LCS to continue I can not see where there is enough support in
the Apple community for a successful large users group. Therefore I see no
need for having regular monthly meetings for the seven or eight people that
show up.

There does however, appear to be enough interest to have irregular "offline"
get togethers at a coffee shop or restaurant where we can help, show off and
talk about Apple computers and products. I will announce such events on this
list and try to give a couple weeks notice so you can work into your schedules.

I want to thank everyone who has helped with LCS relaunch over the past few
months.

Peace, Love & Apple

Richard
