But I do not agree with you, Jonathan. I think 7 to 8 people at the beginning
is a nice showing. Those things take time, ( I know, I know, do I ever know!)
) , enthusiasm and a lot of creative energy. There is time needed to even get
it going after it got going, confer with people as to the dates ( of course you
cannot consider everybody constantly, but after a half a dozen of get togethers
people would get to know each other and then the stuff having been discussed
could be put to the larger group. I had hoped you would take a few photos of
those who attended and with the faces and places I would even be able to find a
ride, notwithstanding my age.

I know a few from way back, Lee, and Tom and Andy, Anne and Harry the bicycler
, but I do not know many who contribute, like the John and the other John, and
I do not know you, Richard, nor Bill Micou , nor Wendy and so many whose names
appear, but who might live in Frankfort or Paducah or God knows where.

There should be a list of who is who and where and perhaps their lovely faces
could show , so that we would have REAL people rather than just emailers. In
this faceless society we do need real conversation, even a phone call is better
than an email, if one has a multifaceted problem.

Of course I have no idea what Harry and John discussed, but it is stored
somewhere in my memory and might come up when or if I came into a situation
with servers etc.

So, Richard, don't even feel discouraged ---- es ist noch nicht aller Tage
Abend---- as we would say in German. ( How does it say in google ? Translate
this).

But if you all feel that ad hoc meetings in some restaurant would be more
inviting, we could sit around a table and chew the fat that way, too. But I
encourage you to get a list of those who come , and a hash of what is hashed,
so we all can benefit . Maybe then we could find the restaurants in different
places closer to this or that person who comes. And I would come on eagle's
wings if the eagle would stop for me.
