When LAUGH (Louisville Apple Users Group with a silent H) first met in
1979 at a coffee house on Herr Lane and later in Middletown at a computer
store and moved again and again as our crowds grew until to MacAuthority
where we were greeted first by Mark and later by the newer manager with
video viewing and explanations by many who still attend....without naming
any.....OH, I do note that LCS, Louisville Computer Society, was/IS? a 286,
386, Microsoft group that met at GE Monogram hall.
There are still enough newer programs and now Lion which many, including
me, are having trouble adapting to all the syncing between all the items in
the Apple book. I still have only a computer.....a new one given me by my
daughter, an Apple Employee in CO, with the newest OS installed.
Over the years, with me being the only user, no passwords anywhere so
when something new came down the road, it could be installed without a
thought with just a click. That¹s not the case now. I¹ve never been a geek
but have had several help me with the inevitable ³tie-up² when friends came,
pressed a few keys, and all was back in order.
Have attended several MacWorld expos in the Big Apple and was a witness
when Steve introduced the first MacBook which had a handle built into the
case when it was closed.....haven¹t ever figured out why that feature wasn¹t
contained in later models....it seemed so convenient.
73¹s,
Ed
