If you frequently need to access the user Library folder like I do, just put an alias of it in your sidebar after you make it viewable and you¹ll always have easy access rather than having to remember to press the Option key and head to the Go Menu each time. From an administrator view point I like that it is hidden from casual users, but it is a pain when you are setting up computers and need to access this folder frequently.

In that list you will find Library. John
