iFriends,

Christian Academy has announced that all high school students will be given
iPads next year, with the program extending to the middle school grades later.
Cost is to be borne by the reduction in the use of paper and other supplies and
a drastic reduction in textbook purchase costs. (The annual cost to the school
for an iPad is just a little more than one math textbook.)

My step-daughter played a major role in encouraging the CA administration to
consider the iPad, and even is one of the students in the video at the above
link.

Her dad and I split the cost of her first iPad two Christmases ago. That has
now turned out to be the most effective 250 bucks I ever spent.
