I have an Imac 2.4 dual core processor, version 10.6.8 that I've had for a few years.
Yesterday, I restarted the computer after clearing the caches and it took forever to restart. When it did, it couldn't discover the mouse. Finally fixed that and went to google chrome -- couldn't access any web pages. Still can't. I rebooted again from "off", reset the pram, still took forever to load but it finally did. Tried access the web pages again. nothing. Bluetooth, airport all working. Checked network settings -- says it's connected and I have an IP address. All other computers and devices, Ipad, Ipod, iphones, apple tv, kindle..... all can access the internet. Only the imac can't. I called Insight and they tried a few things -- tried pinging google chrome and nothing. It doesnt ping. It's out of warranty. I rebooted just now in safe mode and still can't access the internet. I've uploaded all the software updates as i get them. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss... Thanks Judy
