I have a 5 year old MacBook pro. I am running Mac OS 10.7.4.

One of my programs, Sandvox ( a Mac Only website creator program by Karelia
<http://www.karelia.com>) has over a hundred templates. I began creating a new
website and chose a template (Telegraph Office) I had never used before. When I
started to edit the home page the program crashed. The crash does not occur
when I take the same steps with my current website templates.

Karelia offers excellent tech support so I emailed them about the problem. They
had me email my console log and then the diagnostic logs.

It took them a while to get back to me as they were having trouble finding the
problem.

Here is what they said:

> Thanks. These files have given me some information, but not a lot to go on.
> It seems like the Mac is stuck at some low level trying to load in something

I ran the disk utility program, verify disk option, and received this message
in a pop up window:

This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart
your computer, holding down the
Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo.
When the Mac OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility.

Within the disk first aid window I also received this message:

                        Invalid node structure
The volume Ethan could not be verified completely
Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the
Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key
until you see the Apple logo.
When the Mac OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk
Utility.

I am not sure what the "Recovery HD disk" is. I downloaded Lion from the app
store and I can start up from that disk. I also have install DVD's for OS X
10.2 (which came with my computer), Panther (10.3) - 3 disks, Leopard (10.5.6),
and Snow Leopard (10.6.3).

My questions are what is the Recovery HD and where do I get one or should I
start up with the Lion dvd and, if so, will I be able to repair the disk and
repair permissions?

Thanks.
