Google maps took a few years to get good. Data collection takes time.

He Lee, just a few minor glitches! I could be wrong but I just don't think
Steve would have let this out the door until it was ready for prime time. I
sincerely believe it will be corrected, may take a few years but in the rush to
get away from Google they have shown that this wasn't really ready for prime
time.

The Maps section here is a tad light on content with this essential app being
so new. It definitely takes some patience having to unlearn what came so
naturally tooling around Google Maps.

I thought all the complaining about the new Maps program was just your usual
media kerfuffle trying to make a story out of nothing. After upgrading to iOS 6
yesterday, I found out that the Horseshoe Lake, on whose shores I grew up, is
now called Morgan Lake and there is no road to my parents' house. Morgan Pond,
which was about five miles southeast of the lake, is no longer there.

I talked to my mother this morning, and she assures me the lake, pond and road
have not been moved. Google agrees with her.
