Genie out of the bottle. Sort of like all changes in technology thru out the
ages. Look how many blacksmiths when out of business when the automobile took
over the roads. How many candle makers where put out of business by electric
light bulb.

Ann and John:

A digital library might be nice, but think about all the people who would be
out of work if we did not have paper books.

Off hand, being an author, I think we are the only ones who would not be
affected. Those who are printers, ink and paper manufactures, book sellers, and
those who work for publishers would all be looking at the possibility of lost
jobs. Right now, what we do not need are lost jobs.

In case you missed it. This had to happen sooner or later; it is now here. A
100% digital library. Absolutely no traditional books, stacks, card files, etc.
