Look at all the trees that maybe saved and the rivers saved from the processing
of paper. E-books are not that much cheaper the hard covered books which is
still an issue. I feel ebooks and great for the run of the mill books and text
books. I have hundreds of ebooks and technical books and still order hard cover
books of the books I want to reread and keep on a shelve .
E books are not the easiest to read and learn how to keep notes etc but they go
have their place. People who really need the library don't have computers or
book sellers and book stores are for those of us who still can afford the $3
coffee and the books. To bad googles scanning the rare books non of us will
have access to or afford to visit the library overseas of hidden away at
university because the courts saw fit to keep that information limited to a
few.
Sometimes good comes with a downside. As for jobs if you have been to a
printing plant lately it is mostly an automated process with few people.
