I'm trying to get Mail to automatically choose my [email protected] account to send from. I have checked in Mail Perferences Use only this account. However if usually goes to my .mac account for outgoing.
I've gone to System Preferences where there are four accounts listed: at the top of the list is iCloud which is the .mac account. Is there some way to put the aye.net account (POP) first in the list so maybe it will list the aye.net account first. At the moment my gmail account is listed second. I can't even get it listed below the aye.net. I am tempted to deactivate the mail account - have never received a message from it. Only have it because was required by a website server. I did just delete one of the two gmail accounts. I think they were identical. If not, too bad. Think I finally found a way - I unchecked Mail under System Preferences>iCloud. No maybe I better not; I don't use iCloud to get my mail, e.g. off mobile devices but some people have this email address for me 9by mistake). Actually I don't plan on using any mobile device for email until I find an easy way to delete all. Also will not buy a newer device until that is an option. Maybe it is the POP account (my main account) that is the problem with deleting all?
