Using iPhone 6+ with LG Bluetooth earbuds.  I can pause, vol up & down, stop.  
When I return it resumes where I leave off.   I can change chapters from the 
headset, I can scrub through the chapter using the very indiscreet line under 
the book icon.  I can change the playback speed. Not sure what you mean by more 
than one book in library at s time? Like you all my time is spent with audio 
books, I have dozens, stopping one, returning to a previous book allows me to 
take up where I left off.  It's a quick process to move from one to the other.
