Beth,

This may not be as slick as the Android but on my text messages, a long list, I
hit the edit button at the top left, pops open a list for me to put a checkmark
beside the ones I want to delete, I can go through dozens of them in seconds or
just a minute. Hit delete they are all gone.

The same process works in Mail, go into the mailbox I want where all the
messages are listed, hit Edit at the top right and now I have a choice of
“marking” , “moving” , or “Trash”. I scroll down the list clicking on the ones
I want to trash and it’s done, takes no time at all.
