I assume that transgender individuals, dressed in the gender of their choice would, and probably have been using the public facility of their chosen gender for years. Transgender is not something new.
I can see much more of a disturbance if a XX female or an XY male, dressed and appearing for all purposes as their chosen gender attempted to use the facility of their genes rather that their appearance. Transgender individuals have been around since probably forever and studied in the medical world since the 1940s if not before. There are many factors, both biological, psychological and environmentally that go into to the determination of a person's "chosen" gender. Note gender identity is not the same as sexual orientation. Yes there is a problem if an individual of what ever gender attempts to "push" themselves on another no matter whether a public bathroom or else where. I don't see how one would be exposed to the mind of a transgender person while using a public facility. No more so than any other person's mind. Actually I think politicians need to spend more time, energy and money dealing with major problems this country and the world faces. Also I'd like to believe that businesses, Apple and others, will do what they believe is right in addition to that which will help, or at least not hurt their bottom line.
