I don't know if they're better than the virgin ones, but they have been
inspected by a real live person instead of just a cursory assembly line
once-over. The warranty stuff is the same as new, including the option
for Applecare. It seems the only thing you don't get is the pretty
packaging.

I've had at least a half-dozen refurbished Macs and none has given me
any trouble.

Right now I'm in the market for a new laptop and if I buy a Mac at all,
it will probably be a refurbished late 2015 or early 2016 MacBook Pro.
(I'm not a fan of the new MacBook Pros.)
