The way I do it is strap myself into the chair, go to their site, find the “contact” and EXPLAIN in Dollar terms what it means to give up ApplePay…I’ve done this over and over…getting great results. We have a “build your own” Pizza joint that makes great pizza’s, they used to take ApplePay, then stopped…I wrote to the owner several times, and of all things ApplePay is back.
I had mentioned that the Essential Oils I had been buying from Amazon when I went direct to the firm THEY offered ApplePay while Amazon doesn’t so I purchased direct from them….amazingly they removed ApplePay and I felt it was pressure from Amazon..but I wrote one of my letters anyway and they replied with an apology and said they would have ApplePay back very soon. Firms want to make sales, I’ve told CVS Pharmacy several times that I’ll move my account to Walgreens if they don’t offer ApplePay…my company makes me use CVS now but when I retire I’ll sure move everything to their competitor… If we continue our Paul Revere work it will pay off…and of all things the number of people I find with an AppleWatch I almost ALWAYS ask them if they use ApplePay….well, no, I’ve never set it up, WHY? Well, I don’t know…I feel most times it’s fear of working through it…if folks that are Apple would all use this Apple would control most all the NFC banking…they are the leader now but if the majority of Apple folks would do it then darn near every establishment in the country would accept. AP…. Just the past couple weeks we’ve had Equifax and Whole Foods hacked….folks this is not acceptable…..we can’t do anything about Equifax, hopefully the class action pain will be enough to either put them out of business or get their act together, but the damage is done…BUT we don’t have to shop where they don’t offer without making a ruckus...
