Bas,

I used that image because it was linked to in this guide that I was
following:

https://www.rs-online.com/designspark/upgrading-a-cnc-milling-machine-part-2

This is the one that has been giving me errors.

Alternatively, I found this other guide, and seemed to successfully
configure another Beaglebone with it:

https://machinekoder.com/machinekit-debian-stretch-beaglebone-black/

Downside to this one is that I wasn't able to get a monitor working while
connected to the Beaglebone's HDMI port, and the build seemed to just be an
empty shell when I connected to it via machinekit-client. There weren't
any premade configurations like the COMET configuration I was working with
on the other.

I'm not committed to any particular image. I need to get a Beaglebone
working with the Probotix cape to control a 3-axis CNC and have a GUI
interface via Machinekit. Those are my parameters. Can you point me in
the right direction to achieve my goals?

Thank you,

Peter
