Why would you run that command if you are downloading packages? Which is what? There is no problem with amd64. If your video card works with linuxcnc, it will work with machinekit. The reason we had no idea there was any problem is because amd64 and armhf work fine. Only when someone who uses i386 notified problems did it become apparent.
